You have them available for Ubuntu.

Yes, just download the linux binaries from firebirdsql.org. Make sure
you download the nptl version, which what Ubuntu uses.

You have them available from the repositories as well, but I have
never managed to install it properly. There is a workaround, but I
can't recall the website where I read that.

Do a search on this group and you will find the answer by someone that
was experiencing some problems on Ubuntu.
