Hi Ivan;Just to recap, I never had a user name or role conflict.
I have two databases on the same server and was able to create a role called ttool_user on database_A but could not create a role called ttool_user on database_B.ThanksLin

One database can't contain user and role with the same name.

It seems you previously granted some trights to ttool_userI *user*.
