Perhaps update to the latest point release, but not the latest major release.

The whole reason for point releases is that you are not required to do the testing and then the changes to your software that may be required.

We have a number of software applications working fine on the 1.5 tree, and there is no reason to change things and incur the costs of an upgrade.
