The first thing I would try is to telnet port 3050 on the IP address to
see if you get a connection (blank screen) or an error.
If you get an error, you would need to check the TCP/IP connection,
something in the middle are blocking it.
An advice, use a tunneling software to encrypt the traffic over the
"wire" zebedee is a good choice, very simple to setup.
