There was a similar thread just a couple days ago ("database corruption on
virtual machine"), and Ann's response at the time indicated (I think) that this
known bug may be the culprit: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-1300 .
If a different conclusion is reached for this thread, that could be relevant to
the other one as well.
