There was a discussion on firebird-devel in July about bugs in left outer join,
concerning at least CORE-1246 and CORE-1808. CORE-1246 is currently listed as
fixed, planned for release in FB2.5, though strangely it's not listed as
affecting released 2.1 versions? However the search in JIRA for left-outer-join
bugs returns a rather long list, so it could be just about any of those...

(I wish the JIRA ticket had more than examples; there's no simple (english)
description of the behavior, it's hard for people to compare to their scenario
and tell us "oh, yeah, I ran into that exactly". Was it related to rows returned
from queries involving rdb$database? Was it related to derived tables only? I
can't tell.)
