Yes, and all of my scripts use single quotes. Except that since I am desparate for a solution I have tried many variations. But I will stick with single quotes now.

single quotes
double quotes
drive letter
localhost
machinename

So I'm still stuck, hundreds of scripts that work with firebird 1.5, but won't work with firebird 2.x
