There are not enough details in the posting to make sense of the
statement.
I could read the statement as meaning "the performance of Firebird
improves whereas IB does not..." :-)
Further, the difference between FB and IB could be as simple as the fact
that FB creates all new databases with Forced Writes = ON, whereas
(IIRC) IB does not.
