Nick,
I too am considering this. I develop apps with Delphi and a client
has another app created using Postgres that uses UTF8 charset and
their inhouse it guy was asking why I dont use a richer character set.
I have been doing delphi apps with Interbase for 10 years and always
have used NONE as my charset and am still wondering if I should be
using something else. I develop apps for use main in the US, though
possibility exists of expanding into Latin America (MExico, Carriben,
Central and South America).
