Subject RE: [firebird-support] size specification either missing or incorrect

Definitely fixed it now as it has started restoring the second .fdb file,
S6A.fdb.

I take it that it was a known bad idea to have IB running while restoring a
.fbk file?

Yes, remove the localhost: prefix from all of the database file
specifications.

Try it first with it removed from all of them....if it reverts to the
"database unavailable" error then include it in the spec for the FIRST file
ONLY (that's the one with the main DB header page). From your earlier
attempts, it does appear that it might need to be there for the first file
spec, although this is contrary to the syntax for service manager.

If that turns out to be the case, then we have a previously undocumented
side-effect of trying to re[create] multi-file DBs under Classic on this
disk format. It is quite possible that you're the first person in the
history of Classic for Windows who has tried to create a multi-file database
on a FAT32 partition, so keep reporting your results back here.
