Hi Adam,
a valid db using patched firebird server. Restoring this backup file
with a unpatched firebird version will not work because it's not a
"valid" backup file. This is no drawback but insist by copy protection.
Remember, it's not a sandbox file system solution like TrueCrypt. You
can copy all kind of db (backup,restore) to any computer. Working with
it needs a patched and running firebird server installation only. That's
all.
