You cannot use the Firebird "gds32.dll" to connect to InterBase
and vice versa. Firebirds real client dll is named "fbclient.dll", but
IBX won't use that.

You need to make sure IBX uses the Firebird client dll, but as far
as I know, you cannot "set" it to use that so you need to recompile
it.

That being said, you might see now why IBX isn't the right connectivity
set to use with Firebird.
