InterBase 6.5 has a "cancel query" API call that's easy to use, cause
you can do it from your own application if you have the statement
handle (and you're executing the query in a thread).
By using the monitoring tables, you would have to figure out some way
to "know" what statement is yours. I haven't looked at it yet to see if
that's possible in an easy way.
