Hi,
About drivers and Delphi: I recommend IB Objects (http://www.ibobjects.com/). It's blazing fast and I'm sure they support Unicode. In a recent test load of a table, with a mayor key, two foreign keys (integer) and four double precision data fields, I loaded 33 million records at a tempo of 2000 records per second into a FireBird 1.4 database using a Pentium 4 PC (3.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM). I presume it's not to slow? Further, IB Objects is also qualified for the Rubicon search engine (www.tamaracka.com). That application of mine under "What's New!" currently uses IBX 7.08. In the near future I will convert it to IBO, with connection pooling.
