Sorry, no success. But this time the output file is created and in the output file the msg is: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
What I have done is the following (we are using FB2):
cd\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_2_0\bin <enter>
gstat.exe -a localhost:C:\TNS\TNSINDIA.FDB -user SYSDBA -password masterkey > c:\GstatOutput.txt <enter>
Pl reply at yr convenience (don't want to waste yr time).

cd\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin <enter>
gstat.exe -a localhost:C:\TNS\TNSINDIA.FDB -user SYSDBA -password
masterke > c:\GstatOutput.txt <enter>
Make sure you have permissions to write to c:\ or change the folder to
somewhere you have permissions to.
