just as a side note, I think he is either spanish or from South
America. In Spanish language if you have an acronym with only 2
letters you will usually write both 2 times.

For example,

United States -> in spanish Estados Unidos -> EEUU

Ergo,

DDBB = DataBase
BBDD = Base de Datos (database in spanish)
