The Firebird applet could be important, for instance: for
troubleshooting problems in the client installations.

I've been playing with the idea of creating a similar one for Vista. Of
course, using C#.

What do you think, it would be worth it?

No. The Firebird 1.5 series is done.

Just boot into Safe mode and delete or rename the cpl file. You
don't need it anyway.
