Seriously, I had the same problem for a few weeks. It didn't go away
until I used Yahoo's "collect other subscriptions" feature. Then
suddendly it appeared that I was subscribed twice with the same email
address (Unique Index anyone?). After I deleted both and created a new
subscription via the web it worked. I also believe that switching the
format via email once you are subscribed does not work.
To sum it up, Yahoo doesn't want you to use traditional format, because
they can't display ads and other stuff...
