Firebird's embedded guide relates to Firebird's embedded version. So,
I don't think it would be useful for what you are doing.

Also, which version of InstallShield are you using? There have been
reported issues with a few installation softwares, in regards to
creating a Vista compatible software installation. If you look at the
latest version of InstallShield, they are now saying that it's Vista
Ready. I know that InnoSetup had some issues as well, and that most(if
not all) were fixed.
