I've seen this when I rip out files from FB 1.0 installation to make a
Live Linux CD without installing Firebird on it. The Linux CD was built
from scratch, so I learned a lot of initialization stuff that are really
needed for Firebird.

AFAIU, SCH stands for scheduler (thread scheduler) and the problem was
that I didn't have localhost in my hosts file, and first client tried to
attach a database while server was waiting for DNS query to end.

Check if "servin" is listed in /etc/hosts.
