A possible source for the book (The Firebird Book) is eBay. I got one
(almost new) for about $15 USD.

Thanks, that was exactly what I needed to know! I found everything I
wanted under the "InterBase 6.0 Manuals" section of
http://www.firebirdsql.org/?op=doc <http://www.firebirdsql.org/?op=doc>
(I didn't think of using the
Interbase docs although I know Firebird is a spin-off project)

I will take a closer look at the book if I have to dive deeper into
Firebird development :)

Thanks
Atli
