Just tried this again -

'create database 'c:\risdev\rising3.fdb' user 'SYSDBA' password
'masterkey' PAGE_SIZE 4096;'

Same thing... the server is running as a service - haven't modified
any fb settings at all.

> You can't create a database without a fully-specified file path.

Is this particular to Vista - it does work in XP.
