Hi Louis,
being in exlusive mode. But, if, in your case you want to use the
restored database instantly after the backup/restore cycle, and this
database should be replaced with backed up production database, then it
makes sense that no one is connected to the database.
Use gbak.exe with the -g option. This will suppress garbage collection
in the source database.
