Couldn't find it the 2.0 notes, but the 1.5 and 1.5.3 notes have this
entry:

fixed by A. Brinkman
(1.5) Bug case where subquery was used in connection with IN() clause.

However, it's listed as an old bug fixed in 1.5. If that is correct,
how can Félix perceive the buggy behaviour in 1.5 ?

I have 1.5.3 installed here and it behaves correctly.

(I also tried to check whether bug # 213859 is really the one we're
talking about, but the tracker hangs once again. Anyway this is the
only one I can find that is possibly it.)
