Perhaps they also have firewall installed and active on the machine
where they started the app? Some newer anti-virus software (like Norton
AV for example) also have firewall in them. You could ask then to
temporarily shut down AV/firewall software on the client computer and
check if it works then. Once it does, they need to configure it properly.
