Local Client Machine Time?
How would it know what the local time is ;)

I have the opposite problem. Making sure that the SERVER works with GMT
and then telling the client to display either that or the client local time.

If you are talking about the SERVER machine time, you just need to
change that, but if that IS in the GMT local time zone, or has been set
to that for other applications, then modifying the client display is the
correct approach.
