Can you put your question into other words? It is not very clear what
you have tried or what you are having trouble doing.

Pings don't go through anywhere, they are bounced back by the router
not the database server behind it.

Have you forwarded the appropriate port from the router to your
database server?

Are you able to connect to the appropriate port using any client
application, such as telnet?

telnet [host] [port]
