Debian Stable (Sarge) includes Firebird 1.5.1:
http://packages.debian.org/stable/misc/firebird2-super-server

Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06) includes Firebird 1.5.3:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/misc/firebird2-super-server
They even have an AMD64 build, but I would be scared to using it,
because I heard AMD64 is only properly supported by the upcoming
Firebird 2.0.
