I would rather copy them to the application dir. When you copy them to
the System dir, make sure you don't overwrite newer versions with
older ones.

For example, Windows 98 Second (!) Edition and all later versions of
Windows come with a msvcrt.dll that is as old or even newer than the
version delivered together with Firebird.

I wonder why we need that msv*.dll stuff along with fbclient.dll
though. Maybe the Firebird Team should consider to use Delphi for the
Firebird client so they don't depend on such Evil Stuff ;-)
