U can make a table, populate with 10 Gb of data and drop the table.

After that your database will have enough space to grow without take space
from system.

I'm incessant search of functionally for shrink firebird database, the same
idea is implemented in Sql Server, Oracle etc.
Any idea or software who have this implementation.
Ist really arcaic "backup" and "restore" procediment for reduce the database
size.
