Not directly with Firebird. But, it doesn't mean that it can't be
done.

Here are two solutions:
1. Using C-JDBC(Clustered-JDBC) with Firebird's JDBC driver.
2. http://www.extendb.com/

The built-in support is already in the feature requests. But, very
most likely it will be post version 3.0(maybe 4.0 or later), unless
someone becomes interested to develop it themselves and contribute the
code, or pay for the development via the Firebird Foundation.
