thank you for the quick reply.
The DDL is not my problem. My problem is the data allready stored in
the database.
So if there is no way, to change the character set without losing the
data, I have to create the database new and write a datapump routine
for the whole database. I'd like to avoid this, for there are 224
tables in my database.
