Ok, sorry for the confusion, it was my mistake. The difference, as far
as I can tell, is merely that specifying a user name and password is now
compulsary, even on a unix when logged in as root.
Since I wasn't used to doing this, I mistakenly used the -P switch
instead of -PASS to specify the password, and subsequently got an
obscure message about the size being incorrect... :)
