Jonathan,
did you use transportable format (option -t for backup)? Did you use
IB5's GBAK to create the (transportable, -t) backup and use FB1.5's
GBAK to restore the database?
If that doesn't help, just copy+paste the complete error message here
so you can get more than a "best bet" on "... wrong or something like
that" ;-)
The syntax changes are minor.
