FirebirdSQL is open source - you are invited to implement the
additional feature yourself. You can offen an patchset to the public
once your modification is ready.

Once the feature is ready we can see if there are lots of programmers
using the new feature. If so and after it has proven its stability we
can discuss about intoducing this feature into current FB development.
