It was a final thought for if the other suggestions were off track. I
am *guessing* this *could* be an issue due to the way Firebird handles
different sessions within Windows for local connections. There is not
really enough information to point to an exact cause. We use a TCP
loopback connection inside a service that does not interact with the
desktop and it works fine.
