I have tried IBExperts's "Test Data Generator". It inserts about
100 rows/s in my case.

I can imagine two "breaks" in my environment:
a) the database has some indexes which are active while inserting
(and you can't deactivate the primary key, can you?)
b) Firebird and IBExpert run on different computers which are
connected by a 100 Mbit/s switch
