Thank you Helen. One more question: if GSEC works fine
with -database switch, the string connection of the
clientes changes? I am using ODBC driver and the
client string connection is:

DRIVER=Firebird/InterBase(r) driver; UID=MYAPPUSER;
PWD=myapppwd;
DBNAME=server:myAppDbAlias;CHARSET=UNICODE_FSS;DIALECT=3
