i use COLLATE PXW_TURK for collating not ISO-8859-9.
which programming language are you using.
which component set are you using.
you must set the character set while connecting to database
for example IBX, i use this settings
user_name=SYSDBA
password=masterkey
lc_ctype=WIN1254

my db has TURKISH_CHARSET font characters set, and my table IL has a
column ILAD1. I set ILAD1's character set and collate to ISO-8859-9. but
I can't use turkish charecters like(ğ,ç,ş,ü,ö,İ). I need
them.
what is my fault? please help me.
