Thanks for your advice. It will give my clients a more positive outlook on
getting it working.

I have had any need to use Classic as yet, and I'm happy to hear that
Superserver works well

in that environment.

I will get them to follow what you have done and install the databases on a
separate box.

I have Firebird applications running on Citrix/Terminal Services with
no problems. Some installations have the database on the same box (the
database connections MUST be remote). However, the database should be
on a separate server for performance and security reasons. The cost is
minimal and if there are a large number of users a farm of servers may
be required.

I don't know if the Classic/SuperServer choice is relevant. I use
SuperServer.
