I wouldn't put a database server on the same machine that is acting as
a Terminal Server (which Citrix Metaframe - assuming that's what you
mean with Citrix - is) if you need to handle many terminal sessions
all accessing the database often. It's not scalable and a single point
of failure as well.
Having said this, I have close to no experience with Fb Classic, but I
can tell you that Fb SS works fine with both Windows TS and Citrix
Metaframe, provided you avoid the "local" access, which won't work,
and use TCP even if the Fb server runs on the same machine (i.e.
localhost:path\to\database.fdb).

Mmm... you can't share a database between several Firebird servers, if
that's what you mean.
