I'm not worried about resources, I'm worried about security and
maintenance. The fewer packages that are installed, the fewer there are
that can be compromised or require patches.

When we're done I'll post our experiences here, including how we
hardened the box.

We did a less than full install of Suse, but did include the web
servers, utilities, dev tools and GUI. Install FB RPM using YAST via
GUI. I have not yet tried to install FB on a minimally configured
console only server. I dont worry about resources as I have dual 3.2GHZ
Zeon and 4GB of RAM and 146 GB of RAID1 disk.
