The source code for UFB has been open sourced and has been converted
from Framemaker to DocBook XML. The Docbook sources are in the hands
of the firebird-docs team now, being edited and updated. So, in
short, the UFB currently isn't available.
If you used the combined (and cumulative) resources of 1) the IB 6
beta docs, 2) the Firebird 1.0 release notes and 3) the Firebird 1.5
release notes, you will have most of the content you need for the
basics. You'll find the links for all of these on either or both the
Firebird and IBPhoenix websites, but the 1.5.3 releasenotes are in
the download, anyway.
Or, as someone else mentioned, you could buy "the book" and have it
all in one hefty volume with the cruft absent. (It's also available
in electronic format from the Apress website, a bit cheaper than the
Amazon price. http://www.apress.com/book/bookDisplay.html?bID=301
