If you don't like the backup/restore idea, you can always copy the
database file onto USB disk. It is still safer than having a live
database there.
The idea of having both app. and database on flash is great, but users
usually do have access to HDD on the computers they use, so why risk.
IIRC, people who use Firebird like to sleep tight at night. ;)
