Subject: [firebird-support] Firebird Replication Options?
I'm working on a project for a friend and I hope to use Firebird 2 as
the backend, I've been testing the latest release and so far I haven't
found any problems and it seems solid and a fair speed and feature
improvement over V1.5.x. The major issue for this project is that I'm
going to need to do replication, which up until now I've never had to
deal with since all the Interbase / Firebird projects that I've worked
on have always had only one site and in this case there's going to be
three sites two of which will have one person each doing some data entry
/ editing. I used Google to search for information of Firebird and
Replication and I only found a couple things, FiBRE and IBReplicator.
Since this is more or less a charity project (I'm not getting paid
anything and they don't have a lot of money to spend) I think that
leaves IBReplicator off the list since it's commercial (and I don't know
if it would work with Firebird 2 anyway), Fibre is free but it's also
only in a pre-alpha development state which makes me nervous since I'm
going to have to trouble shoot any problems. So other than these two are
there any other options available?
