I don't think that is necessary, because FB 2 can read ODS 10.1
databases. Happy to be corrected if necessary.

If however you ever need to 'downgrade' to FB 1.5, you will need to
use the 1.5 version of gbak against the 2.0 server when backing up,
then use the 1.5 version of gbak against a 1.5 server for the restore,
and that only works if you are not using one of the new features in
Firebird 2 (obviously).
