Off course it is.
The first thing you need to know is the real IP address of your company.
Next, you need to forward the port 3050 of your router to the port 3050 of
the computer which is running firebird and where your database is.
Next, from your home, you need to use your company's IP to connect to the
server.
server: <ip address>
database: salarii.fdb
user: <user>
password: <password>
