To add to Thomas's reply. It depends on your file system. If it's
FAT32, then the limit for one file is 4 GB, but Firebird can have
multiple files for one database, so 4GB is not the ultimate limit for
FAT32. And, if you are using NTFS, then it's using a 64-bit file I/O
access, which mean the limit is somewhere in the TeraBytes range.
And, on Linux, if the file system is 32-bits, then the limit is 2GB
per file, and for 64-bits file I/O it's a few TB.
