First question would have to be - When does the program run 'commit'? A
long shot, but if the connection is lost before the commit, the
transaction is rolled back and will it would be unusual for commit not
to have been called for the morning - I HAVE seen code with that problem ;)
It is probably the only way that a whole section of work could be lost!
