You've got something.
I changed the connection string from
Stephane:C:\CAMAlot Release\Data Files\HISTORY.FDB
to
192.168.0.107:C:\CAMAlot Release\Data Files\HISTORY.FDB
and the connection time went from about 8 seconds to 1 or 2 sec.
That's great because the program connects to 6 DBs.
Don't know what the problem is with using names. Any ideas?
However, connectiong to the WinXP Pro SP2 machine is still MUCH
faster. It connects to all DBs almost instantaniously. I don't know
that it's because it's running Win Pro; it's only a guess.
